Food pyramid


The concept of balanced diet has its origin in the correct selection of the appropriate portions of each type of food depending on the daily requirement of each person according to their individual characteristics. .The intake of nutrients must follow the same guidelines as the food pyramid at the base of which is the group of the bread, pasta, and cereals, suggesting a daily intake of 7 servings a day.




In the following position are the vegetables and fruits, which will be eating an average of 4 rations a day between the two. Then there s the group of eggs, grains, meats and it is suggested consume at least 3 servings daily. Drink in addition 2 servings of dairy a day including milk and its derivatives.
At the tip of the pyramid are the saturated fats and carbohydrates quick-absorbing as refined sugar, sweets patisseries, fritters, which must have a controlled intake.
